  • Can't click links in read-only files

When I publish a CryptPad file as read-only, it seems that links in it become unclickable (I can click them fine when editing the file). Is this a bug? Is there a way to make sure that viewers can click on the links?

Hello,

Can you share more informations about the issue you are facing?

Thanks in advance.

I'm having the same issue. These are regular documents in CryptPad drive, I'm using Chrome and the person trying to open them was in Firefox. The links show but are not clickable.
How do I share a document to you without making it public?

I have a document library I had hoped to share with my group, but in the read-only version of the documents links are not clickable, and you can't even highlight them to copy and paste them into your browser address bar.
I don't want to make the documents editable, I want them to stay read-only.
Why aren't links clickable? This is not the case in any other document sharing system. Is it a glitch or is this working as intended?
I have tried opening the documents in Chrome, Firefox and Firefox mobile. None show the links as clickable.
I do not have any additional extensions on the files.

Merged 1 post from Read Only Docs - Links are not clickable.

For anyone else experiencing this, Ludovic helped me figure out it was an OnlyOffice issue with Documents. The links work in all the other formats and I switched all my docs to Rich Text format. I believe he let OnlyOffice know about the issue, because the links should be clickable in all formats.

I have a similar problem. But it is a bit more general:

  • Neither I, nor anyone I asked so far can click links in my rich text cryptpads
  • If one tries to click it, another tab opens showing the message "This link only works when loaded from a CryptPad document"
  • But it does work to copy the link and paste it in the browser
  • This problem does not only occur in read-only mode, but also in editing mode
  • I use rich text documents, the problem does not seem to appear for other types of cryptpads, but I have not tried everything
  • I (and the other people mentioned) tried various browsers, including Safari, Firefox, DuckDuckGo Mobile, Chrome, other mobile browsers
  • I do not use any weird extensions
  • This does not seem to be an OnlyOffice problem, as I use rich text
  • It does seem to be a problem of the particular disroot cryptpad distribution, as the problem does not arise when using cryptpad.fr

Here is an example file: https://cryptpad.disroot.org/pad/#/2/pad/view/m+2o8kbns5Fjl75nbmpqkl0+gyeWthpPkVijKUTp20E/

Kino hello, it's likely a configuration issue from your instance. Something regarding CORS on the reverse-proxy or web server side?
