Hello @S7venLights and welcome to the forum.
You can change the height of the window by changing the size of the "Content field with the (almost invisible) marker at the lower right of the "Content" field.
However, the window width is not changeable. I would recommend that you give an example use case for such a large window to have better chances for your feature suggestion, because it's a trade-off for small screens like smartphones.
Personally I would think that the resizing of the height is good enough for the use cases I can think of. So instead of making the window larger by default a re-sizable window would be a better approach.
A full screen window ("make it use available screen space") depends on opinion, personally I find it uncommon and it hides information in the background as you explain also via the floating window idea.
So all in all I personally suggest:
- no to bigger window (one can resize height)
- no to "fullscreen" window
- yes to floating window
- no to re-sizable window, because height is re-sizable and width is of little benefit
Of course I see the time that passes until feature requests get done, also small ones, so I personally got careful to what is important and what is nice to have to prioritize resources. I think one has to "sell" ideas to open source makers to have a better chance, that why I debate and recommend example use cases.
