Would be nice to be able to create links that lead directly to a folder (not sharing).

Hello @64m814rr4 , welcome to the forum.

In my personal experience, the CryptPad team or an open source project in general won't or can't implement all the feature requests. Often it also takes a long time because of a lack of funding.

So it's important to give additional information for an idea. For example: personally I know the linking feature from windows explorer or from soft links from Linux but they are used in special cases or in large directories. I haven't missed them at CryptPad yet because I neither have special cases nor large directories there.

Maybe you could tell something more about your idea? This could convince others. At the moment I think others would say "nice to have", which is a rather low setting.

Disclaimer:
I am NOT part of the CryptPad team and I do not speak for the CryptPad team. I am a user helping other users. I got moderation user rights for the forum from the CryptPad team to help a bit, because we all are the community, but that's all.

Hi @AlexQ, in CryptPad you can create links to folders by sharing them with others. However, as far as I found out, there is no option to create a URL that leads to a private folder. In other collaboration services, you simply go to the address bar and copy the URL to get that link. I hope this makes the request a little clearer.
