Hi all,
I have just completed the deployment of my personal instance, but there is a requirement that I'm not sure can be achieved in the current version. Therefore, I come here to seek help and guidance.
Currently, Cryptpad offers two sharing options: read-only and editable. In the read-only mode, both visitors and anonymous users can only view the content and cannot add comments. In the editable mode, visitors and anonymous users can not only comment or annotate but also edit the document. Is there a middle-ground solution that allows visitors and anonymous users to comment on the document (or rich text) but prevents them from editing the document itself?
Referring to Google Docs, it can generate a shared link with the identity of "commenter", allowing anyone who accesses the document to make annotations and comments on the content, but without making any actual modifications to the document itself.
At the same time, it seems that the chat area can only be used by registered users, and anonymous users cannot participate.
I hope to know whether Cryptpad can achieve this kind of control.
