Hello everyone. I've been trying to figure this out for a while but I couldn't, so I'm wondering if this is even possible and if this is the right tool for me.
I've a game list I want to share with people. Each game has its own tags (RPG, sandbox, shooter, etc) which are crucial for people before choosing what to play. This isn't a collaborative sheet, only I can add/remove games, tags, etc. I need to share this link so anyone can access but only I can edit it. So far, so good, the issue comes now.
I haven't shared the link with anyone else yet, so far it's just me opening the shared link in different browsers to simulate being different people. Maybe that's part of the issue, let me know if that's the case, but when I open the link (read only of course) in another browser I'm not able to use the column's filters and filter games by tag. I see the filter's icon on the cell, but I can't click/use it. I don't want others to apply filters and change the doc for everyone else, I just want them to apply filters for their own view. My next idea was that people could make a copy of the sheet so they could edit as much as they want (including applying filters) apart from the origial sheet. I made a copy and not only I still couldn't apply filters, I literally couldn't delete, modify or overwrite a single cell of the new sheet.
In theory this tool seems easy to use, yet I can't manage to do something this simple. I’d appreciate the help.
