At this moment it is not possible to offer different language versions of the same form.
System texts ('Your answer here') are able to adapt based on device's locale, but this is not enough, because form questions are still just in one language.
We cannot assume a device is always controlled by the people operating them. For example kids in school, employees at work, people using the computers at a library. Also in a lot of countries people reside for whom the language of the country is not necessarily their mother's tongue and therefor might prefer the ability to change languages to make sure they understand the form they need to fill in. So even if a device locale is used to adapt the form system texts this does not solve the problem in the previous mentioned examples.
The form questions are still in just one language, the language selected by the person creating the form.
It's not easy to solve and will require some effort, but perhaps the best solution would be adding the option to create different locales (languages & other context) per form.
So I could create a Dutch (primary) version and add several translated versions of the same form. The people who are supposed to fill it in, can select their preferred language version (maybe defaulting to the locale on the device)
This might seem overkill, however in my experience working with/for countries with several primary languages (Belgium: French, Flemish, German, Switzerland: French, German, Italian, Romansh) this is requested. In The Netherlands it is also quite common to have forms in languages for large groups of people living in NL, but not necessarily speaking Dutch. I have seen forms in languages such as Turkish, Arabic, Moroccan, Papiamento etc. Therefor I'd like to request the feature to add several different language versions per form.
I'd welcome adding this to the road map, including an estimation of the costs to realize this and make this road map public so people / organizations can decide to invest their money into this specific feature.
Thanks to the Cryptpad team for all their hard work. It is much appreciated!
PS: Thanks David Benqué for this suggestion: "in the meantime, an easy-ish workaround is simply to use "make a copy" and have several versions of the form translated in different languages, and perhaps using a description block at the top to link to other versions."
As far as I understand this means the the data will be divided between these different forms. Thus my main suggestion to add several language versions to one form would still be very welcome to prevent this from happening.
