Can't right click for spell check.

Just started using CryptPad and it appears I can not use my browsers built in spell check. The browser will recognize misspelled words and highlight them with the red squiggly line but when I right click the words to correct them a context menu appears with a single entry: "paste". I've tryed this with both Brave Browser and Firefox with the same results. Screenshots of both browsers are bellow.

Love this project BTW. Thanks for making it!

Edit: this was in Windows 10. Just tried it with Linux Mint 21/firefox with the same results. Everything is fully updated.

You have to hold the command (if you are running macOS) or CTRL key while right-clicking the word to get out of the editor and make the web browser spell check appear.

Huh, this is the only bug report that hasn't gotten a response which seems odd. Spell check seems like one of the most fundamental features of a word processor. Is no one else experiencing this bug?

Does not work for me either. Could it be because I'm an a different keyboard layout (SWE)?

Hello @ldezem and welcome to the forum. Please provide some details, so that others can help you. It's not clear if you have exactly the same problem and in which CryptPad app you experienced the problem, but mainly there's no clue which OS and Browser you use. Screenshot also help, like the original poster HollyHoller did. ;-)

Regarding your keyboard layout that should not be the cause, because the suggested solution to press the control key of the OS ("ctrl" for Windows, "command" for MacOS) is usually independent of the language, the control key is the same in all keyboard layouts.

I just started working with CryptPad this evening, and my spell checker is not working at all. As a note, I am running Pop!_OS Linux (an Ubuntu derivative), and the Chrome browser. If I cannot get a spell checker to work, I am not going to be able to use CryptPad -- my spelling is THAT BAD 8-/

Anyway, I have tried the above. My Settings=>Rich text=>Spellcheck is enabled. No red-underlined text pops up, even when I intentionally misspell a word. As a note, I am reading the forum using the same browser instance, and it is flagging my misspellings. The issue is that it is not working inside the document.
