What type of hardware are you using: Server (Hetzner) with YunoHost 12.0.6 (same problem occurs in 11.30 version)

When I login into Cryptpad, it stucks on the message / Quand on se loggue sur Cryptpad, la page reste bloqué sur le message :

"Hashing your password, this might take some time.",
"Traitement de vos identifiants, cela peut nécessiter quelques instants."

This happens whatever account I use (admin, not admin, other ...)
Cela advient quelque soit le compte utilisé (admin, pas admin, un autre compte encore)

I didn't try with a new account. Je n'ai pas essayé avec un nouveau compte.

Hello @Jeey and welcome to the forum.

I don't know if I personally can help you, maybe others, since:

YunoHost is an additional layer, for which I don't have experience
according to your links you use CryptPad version 5.3, this would be outdated (1,5 years old)
also your server states that you use an outdated NodeJS version

So difficult premises for help ...

According to your server checkup (which Hetzner btw? virtual root / cloud server? so a CX / CPX server?) it seems to me with your http server config (and maybe with your NodeJS). But I have no idea if the YunoHost package uses nginx, apache and so on.

But if you are able to analyse this error, then start at that http server config, especially the virtual server config and the TLS / https config and maybe your domain setup - if you are using 2 domains as recommended.

Please consider using manual CryptPad install or docker image to get more or faster help.

Introduction

YunoHost is a kind of web interface and distribution (Debian based) for server hosting (think of it like a modern Yast), it's mainly installation of software via scripts and common administration and configuration.

It's open source made by volunteers since over 10 years. It's a great way to lower the entry threshold for self hosting and CryptPad hosting but one depends on the community for providing up to date applications.

CryptPad Version

The provided version is outdated (v 5.3, about 1,5 years old).

Unclear

YunoHost uses git to download CryptPad, but I couldn't figure out, where the URL is set. Perhaps not in the YunoHost CryptPad install script / repository, there seems only to exist the call "ynh_setup_source".
There is work on the YunoHost repository, but it seems to me, it's to improve the scripts, it's maybe not an update to CryptPad: https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/cryptpad_ynh/tree/testing

Error Cause

Since the installation is scripted and well tested I currently have no idea, why it failed for Jeey. I hope she/he will geht help at the YunoHost forum.
