Feature Request:
When opening a Rich Text Document / Document / Sheet / Slide (really, any document), it would be lovely to have a setting that remembers my cursor position.

I'm a recent convert to cryptpad, and I do quite a bit of longform writing. My documents are often 50K+ words (novels and stories, mostly). Currently, I use

When opening these large documents, I would like for cryptpad to jump to the most recent position of my cursor.

Workaround:
I use headings to navigate in the outline view

Notes:
I believe the Document editor relies on Only Office, and the Rich Text Editor relies on ckeditor, so i undertand that this might be out of scope for the team.

It looks like there's an Only Office feature request on GitHub: https://github.com/ONLYOFFICE/DocumentServer/issues/2289

It the same true for the ckeditor integration that's used with the rich text editor? Like is there any "custom code" in cryptpad's implementation of ckeditor, or should I put in a feature request on the ckeditor forum?

I find that I actually prefer the rich text editor because it supports markdown.

anon8377 our Rich Text application uses CKEditor 4, which is currently deprecated in favor of the v5. However, we will likely move away from CKEditor in the future to use another tool instead.

Hence, I wouldn't recommend bothering people on the CKEditor forum. 🙂

        Thanks! Good to know.

Do you mind if I ask what alternatives you all are considering? Are you all thinking along the lines of a markdown editor? (Which personally, I'd love that!)
